OLIVER SANDEMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
When we think about how to describe Oliver Sandeman, there are so many words that come to mind. His laugh, his great sense of humor, his kindness with both humans and animals, his fearlessness and most importantly his grace.
There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t think about him. We think about milestones that will be missed, his first time driving a car by himself, his prom, his high school graduation, college , international traveling, marriage, children and holding his babies in our arms. What a life it would have been, would have been, should have been.
We want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and those friendships he held so near and dear to his heart. This scholarship is for any student who, like Oliver, struggled with mental illness. It takes such courage to come out and verbally express themselves. It takes immense strength to know yourself and not be afraid to share it and live it authentically.
We have such a deeper respect and understanding to his struggles and many others who are going through similar obstacles in their lives.
We hope that this scholarship will go to a young individual who has conquered these obstacles , taking it one day at a time and never giving up.
