Athletics & Activities
DSST provides a program that fosters participation and enjoyment of interscholastic team competition, as well as non-competitive fitness activities. The athletic program emphasizes high level skill and strategies, teamwork, good sportsmanship, school spirit, character building and fun. The goal is to provide each student with a sense of affiliation, motivation, and accomplishment by balancing a challenging experience with support and encouragement. The athletic program is an integral part of DSST's curriculum and emphasizes living the school's Core Values.
Requirements for Participation & Registration
For safety and league requirements, athletes may not participate in practice or games until these 3 requirements are completed.
- Turn in documentation of a completed physical exam. Exams are good for 1 year and must be valid through the end of the season. The documentation must be signed by a doctor and state “cleared to play”. Documentation can be provided to the front office or the athletic director, or uploaded directly (preferred method) to the registration form (below).
- Complete the athletics registration form.
- Submit the $20 athletics fee to the front office or athletic director. This helps cover expenses such as uniforms, facility fees, referees, equipment, etc.
*Please note that due to shared facilities with the highschool, sports and clubs meet in the mornings before school. Competitions are held after school.
