REMINDER for families who have NOT filled out the registration form. Please fill out the registration form on the link below this needs to be done before the first day of school. This applies to all NEW and RETURNING families.

Athletics

Parents, just a reminder that tryouts for high school boys’ soccer and high school girls’ volleyball will be NEXT WEEK! Remember that registration AND payment must take place BEFORE tryouts in order to participate. Please follow the steps below to properly register your child for athletics this year! See below for our sports offerings and tryout dates for fall sports.

Fall: High School Sports: 

  1. Boys’ Soccer (tryouts August 9 & 10), 5-6:30pm @ Parklane Park (13001 E 30th Ave, Aurora, CO 80011)
  2. Girls’ Volleyball (tryouts August 11), 5:30-7pm @ AST Gym (2540 N Scranton St, Aurora, CO 80045)

Fall: Middle School Sports:

  1. Boys’ Soccer (tryouts August 18 & 22), 3:45-5:15pm @ AST Field (2540 N Scranton St, Aurora, CO 80045)
  2. Girls’ Volleyball (tryouts August 18 & 19), 3:45-5:15pm @ AST Gym (2540 N Scranton St, Aurora, CO 80045)
  3. Co-ed Cross Country (tryouts August 18 & 19), 3:30-4:45pm @ AST Cafeteria then Sand Creek Park

STEP 1

Physical Examinations

Students registering for Athletics must have a current physical examination on file with the Athletics office before the student is authorized to participate in practice/tryouts. Once you have the completed physical paperwork, move on to step 2! If you use a different physical form from the one provided, that is ok! Physicals are valid for 365 days from the date of the last exam.

 

Families can use Aurora Central’s Trojan Wellness Center for only $10!

STEP 2

Register on Rschool and pay the Athletic Fee

Create an account and register your student athlete on Rschool. Make sure to upload your physical examination form when prompted. After registering, you will see two links available to pay the athletic fee. The fee is $50 for MS athletes and $75 for HS athletes. Please CAREFULLY select the correct one for your student. After registering and paying for two sports, the third sport of the year will be no cost!

STEP 3

Final Clearance

Once your registration has been reviewed by the Athletic Department, you will receive a final clearance email that lets you know your student has been cleared to tryout!

COVID-19 Health Guidelines 

As we prepare for the 2022-23 school year, our top priority is ensuring that students remain safe and healthy while participating in athletics at AST. We recognize that with sports, the risk of transmission for unvaccinated athletes is heightened. COVID-19 vaccines have proven to be a safe and effective way to prevent severe illness and reduce the risk of people spreading the virus. We encourage you and your students to get vaccinated.

New Family Resources

The lottery selection is only the first step in the enrollment process. The next steps include completing and returning the Student Records Request form (attached) and formally accepting your offer of admission by Friday, April 3rd. It is critical that you accept your offer by this date so that your spot is not given to another student on the waitlist. You may communicate your acceptance through the School Mint app or by sending an email to owlsast@gmail.com. Once you have accepted this offer and submitted the Student Records Request, you will receive an email invitation to submit additional documentation including Individualized Education Plan, Address and Age Verification, etc.

Orientation will cover vital information including key foundations of our program for both students and families, guidance and support for the steps in the enrollment process, and provide students a space to begin to build our community. All orientation sessions will be done in person.
