Student Resources
DSST values diversity. The school seeks to create a student body that embraces cultural, racial and economic diversity in its student body. We have a diverse student population where over 50 percent of our students are from low income families as defined by the federal free and reduced lunch program.
Currently, our demographics represent the diversity of the city of Denver:
• 38% black
• 30% Hispanic/Latino
• 28% white
• 5% asian
• 1% Native American
DSST is committed to maintaining high academic and behavioral standards and holding students accountable to meeting those standards. At the same, DSST provides each student with the support and care they need to rise to fulfill those standards. We have the shared vision to build a middle school which fosters a learning community that ensures students of all backgrounds succeed in high school and in college.
